Who I Am

IMG_0859

My name is Amira.

I’m a writer.

I’m actually a lot of different things, and it would take too much time to put them all here, but I’m three things primarily: a writer, a wine marketer, and an explorer.

I’m not a blogger by trade, but I write here sometimes about things that I’m interested in.

I have co-authored and published four novels and one book of non-fiction. You can learn more about them on my Books page.

I run a lot, eat a lot, and spend a lot of time outside. I like to be under trees, on mountains, in meadows, on riverbanks.

I’m 34.

My favorite wine (right now) is Chenin Blanc.

I like Oreos.

This blog is named “The Z-Axis” because in college a friend of mine and I wanted to start a music magazine based on the premise of finding weird and off-beat music – music that got “outside the box” or “outside the X and Y axis”, so to speak – that would diverge from the norm. The music magazine never materialized, but this blog did.

Cool.

    1. Nillu, thank you so much! You’re such a sweetheart, and if it’s not too bizarre I’ll probably nominate you ‘in return’ even though I see you’ve already been tagged. Thanks so much, my dear friend.

    1. Than you so much! I can’t wait to be more involved once harvest is finally over. I’ve already created my Bisography profile and I’m looking forward to participating. Cheers!

  2. Good morning. I came across your page, while researching the in’ s and outs of writing a self novel. I’m 43 years old, recently I came across a 2003 journal, that I started back in 2000. My life was very different and difficult growning up. I really didn’t think about sharing my story with anyone but, after reading what I had wrote, so long ago. I thought, oh my this is truly interesting! I’m not a journalist , nor do I have degree in anything other than real life unusual struggles. I would adore the opportunity to, learn more about what steps , I need to take on publishing.
